Keukenhof, the Garden of Europe

Spring is in the air. The birds are chirping. The plants are emerging from the ground. And flowers are starting to bloom. Speaking of flowers, one of the best gardens we’ve visited is in the Netherlands — Keukenhof.

Located in Lisse, Keukenhof is only open to the public for 2 months in a year. This year the garden will be open from March 21 to May 19th, and the theme is “Flower Power.” At Keukenhof flowers connect people from across the globe who come together to enjoy the tulips, smells and colours. The Netherlands is famous for its bulb fields and the many flowers cultivated there.

Unfortunately we won’t be there this year, but here are a few photos from a trip we made a couple years ago.
